Description:

TOPIC: Assessing Organizational Creativity and Problem-Solving Styles And Their Match (or Mismatch) to Current Business Strategy.

SPEAKER: John H. Eggers, Ph.D., Proclivity Software

Maintaining a high level of creativity and problem-solving among executive staff is critical to any organization's long-term success. Research has shown that as an organization grows and matures the creativity and problem-solving preferences of its members change. Over time, unless these preferences are monitored and managed, the level of "fit" with the current business environment gets out of sync leaving both its members and the organization vulnerable due to its inability to
adapt to ever changing market needs.
However, this outcome is not enviable for either organizations nor their members as long as they
are aware of this process and take a few simple steps to manage this critical resource. This
presentation will give you to tools to inventory the creative and problem-solving preferences
within your organization and determine their level of "fit" with current organizational needs.
Attendees will also learn their personal creativity and problem-solving preferences and the implications these have both for career and personal success and satisfaction.

Presentation Learning Points:

1. Learn and understand how creative and problem-solving styles differ among individuals and organizations based on current research.
2. Discover when and how these differences impact organizational performance and strategy.
3. Understand how preferences profoundly impact personal communication, leadership, team performance, and organizational culture.
4. Learn how to link creative and problem-solving style preferences to "job fit."
5. Learn how these preferences are measured and explore how you can "read" these preferences in coworkers and other employees without any measurement at all.
6. Receive feedback on your own creativity and problem-solving preferences and the implications these have on your own "job fit", communication style and problem-solving both at work and at home.
How does the topic or problem affect the attendee’s career or life? Knowing your CPS will
help you make better decisions, understand divergent viewpoints, and help you evaluate if your organization's management has the "right stuff" for current conditions.
A short, 34 question survey can be completed online before the presentation with individual results given to participants at the presentation at no charge.
